Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Heather Uitts

It is time for ANOTHER STAFF SPOTLIGHT!!!
Today we are spotlighting Mrs. Heather Uitts! We asked Mrs. Uitts a few questions so all of you can get to know her better!

Q: What is your job at the school?
A: 8th grade math teacher

Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
A: Middle schoolers are curious, honest, and ridiculously entertaining. I love that middle schoolers are old enough to want to figure things out on their own, yet still willing to ask for help. Watching them grow and succeed is amazing!

Q: What do you do in your spare time?
A: I love spending time with family, supporting my two children as they thrive in their interests, photography, and getting ice cream. 🙂

Q: Have you worked at any other schools? If so, where was it, what was it, and for how long?
A: I started my teaching career at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic School, in Fishers, Indiana. I taught 5th and 6th grade math & science for 7 years before moving to Frankfort.

Q: How many years have you been here?
A: This is my 12th year teaching at FMS!

Q: What's one interesting fact about you?
A: I have FIVE sisters and my husband has only brothers. (In September, we will have 8 nephews and 5 nieces.)

Q: Is there anything else you would like to add?
A: I also coach cheer here at FMS!

We hope that you enjoyed getting to know Mrs. Uitts a little bit more! Thank you Mrs. Uitts for being such an amazing teacher and for everything you do for FMS!
