21st Century Scholars- Financial Aid Program for College
All families with 7th & 8th grade students are encouraged to register their student for the 21st Century Scholars program. This form of state financial aid will, upon high school graduation, help pay up to 4 years tuition for students at participating colleges and universities in the state of Indiana.
Enrollment must occur by June 30th of the student's 8th grade year. Families must meet income eligibility requirements and students must fulfill the Scholars Pledge. During their 4 years of high school, students complete the Scholar Success Program to develop readiness for college.
All enrollments must be done online. Families must provide this information in order to enroll:
- The student's Social Security number (proof of citizenship).
- The student's address, and date of birth.
- The parent/guardian's Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
- The gross income amounts for all members of the household (use 2018 Federal tax return).
- A valid email address.
Parents can obtain individual help with enrolling by scheduling an appointment with the student's middle school counselor, or by contacting Esmeralda Cruz at the Purdue Extension Office:
